oci_field_type ( resource stmt, int field )
oci_field_type() returns a field's data type.
Parameter field is an index of the field in the
statement (1-based).

Note:
In PHP versions before 5.0.0 you must use ocicolumntype() instead.
This name still can be used, it was left as alias of
oci_field_type() for downwards compatability.
This, however, is deprecated and not recommended.
